ABOUT US

Mission statement

What started out as a casual conversation amongst a group of friends about starting a clothing line, soon led to the founding of CX Apparel. We aim to create fashionable yet simplistic clothes at the most affordable price with all profits going to local charities, such as Ecumenical Hunger Program, East Palo Alto Kids Foundation, and Black Visions Collective. We hope that when people wear our clothes they will feel pride and confidence in knowing that they are representing more than just everyday fashion, but also a reminder that service is what is truly in style.

Hi! My name is Edward Zhang and I am the designer of CX apparel. I am currently a Junior at Palo Alto High School and as an aspiring artist, I love being able to share my designs and artwork with other people. I love that through my designs people are able to take a peek inside my chaotic mind and hopefully understand where my bizarre and eccentric creations come from. From my past experiences working with kids from all socioeconomic levels and teaching them arts and crafts, I developed a deep love for the intersection between service and art, which ultimately led me to want to create CX apparel. When I am not in school or doing art, I love to walk my dog Snowy and hang out with friends.

Hello! My name is Joyce Lin and I am in charge of finances for CX apparel. I am a junior at Palo Alto High School, where I am also the Co-President of the Financial Literacy Club. As someone who has always been interested in finance, working together with my friends to found CX apparel has been a dream come true. Besides finance, I am also extremely interested in developmental psychology and I am proud to back local charities that support education and childhood development such as the Boys and Girls Club.

I’m Jeremy Huang and I am the media manager of CX apparel. I am currently a junior at Palo Alto High School, where I am a part of the robotics team. I also enjoy running track, and as a track captain I have found that person to person interactions are extremely important in establishing trust, which is why I chose to deal with public relations. Because of this, CX apparel has been an amazing opportunity for me. In my spare time I like to watch movies and spend time with my friends.
